SFSA adds a special tone to conferences

Recent News

Autumn (aka "fall") in the northern hemisphere is a popular conference season. That's as true in agricultural development as it is in many other areas. Syngenta Foundation employees are sought-after speakers on a range of topics. Our Presentations page features some of their talks from former years.

In the current SFSA team, Olga Speckhardt has recently been particularly busy. Our Head of Insurance Solutions was, for example,  a panelist at a Parisian conference on responding to weather catastrophes. She was also in demand among Asian insurance supervisors (see our short report). Together with our new Director, Simon Winter, Olga spoke at the COP23 climate change conference, in the section on "agriculture advantage". Also active at COP23 was our Board Member Mohamed Ait Kadi.

Talking of our Board: The lady with the microphone in our photo is Mohamed's colleague Radha Singh. The shot was taken at our own 2017 conference on "Scaling up through enterprise". Here's the report from that one, and from another SFSA event this year, on "The future of small farms" .

Meetings aren't all about the northern hemisphere, of course. Here's what SFSA colleagues and partners from three continents are doing at TropAg in Australia.

And on a slightly unusual note: Our Advisor Emeritus is in action at the Literary & Arts Festival in Dehradun, India. Agri-Culture takes on a whole new meaning!

If you'd like to follow these and further conference appearances, as well as lots of other news, the Syngenta Foundation is now on Twitter. You are very welcome to join us @syngentafdn.
