Live at last: India team makes memorial awards

During the pandemic, we lost B T Seshadri, former Executive Director of Syngenta Foundation India. The SFI team decided to commemorate his life with an annual award. The first presentation had to be 'virtual' - but SFI made up for this recently with a highly enjoyable live event. 

Making the awards were our Indian Country Director, Rajendra Jog (right) and his predecessor Baskar Reddy. Baskar recently changed roles to become, inter alia, an advisor to our Foundation as a whole. Pictured between the two leaders is Akash Mahalle, 2020 winner in the category "Best Faculty". He and the other winners received cash prizes and certificates. 

Faculty members instruct Agri-Entrepreneurs (AE) during their training program. Also receiving awards were the 2020 and 2021 "Best AE Mentors" and "Best Project Lead". Mentors support each AE through his or her journey as a first-time entrepreneur. Project Leads manage the Mentors.
